Off-White™ or OFF-WHITE c/o VIRGIL ABLOH is an Italian luxury fashion label founded by Virgil Abloh. The company was first founded as "PYREX VISION" by Virgil Abloh in 2012. Virgil then rebranded the company as Off-White, which Abloh describes as "the grey area between black and white as the color off-white" to the fashion world. In 2014 Virgil debuts his first womenswear collection during Paris Fashion Week. The rapid growth of the brand highlights Ablohs unique talent of balancing the thin line between high end fashion and streetwear culture.
In 2017 Off-white collaborates with Nike on the famous "The Ten" collection : 10 iconic nike silhouettes re-designed by Virgil Abloh. This collection exists as one of the most coveted and special released during this period in fashion.
His success lands him a job as Creative Director at Louis Vuitton. The same person who interned at Fendi in 2009, screenprinted $40 Ralph Lauren blanks in 2012 under PYREX VISION and one year later founded Off-White was now the Creative Director of Louis Vuitton. Virgils influence showed throughout his tenure with LV while maintaining ownership at Off-white which was valued over $675 million USD. This was just the start of Virgil Ablohs legacy - but unfortunately in November 2021 the great Virgil Abloh passed away due to a cardiac angiosarcoma cancer.
