In 1997 Supreme released a series of box logo tees depicting the world famous Coca Cola logo.
In an effort to impersonate the now 133 year old company, Supreme used similar patterns and colourways but most noteworthy their own twist on the famous slogan : “Enjoy Supreme”.
Coca Cola is a staple in American culture. Its more than just a drink, it represents a level of unity amongst a divided and broken America.
The iconic Pop Art pioneer Andy Warhol famously said : “Whats great about this country is that America started the tradition where the richest consumers buy essentially the same things as the poorest. You can be watching TV and see Coca-Cola, and you know that the President drinks Coke, Liz Tayor drink Coke, and just think, you can drink Coke, too. A Coke is a Coke and no amount of money can get you a better Coke than the one the bum on the corner is drinking.
All the Cokes are the same and all the Cokes are good.” 25 years later this piece is a staple in modern day streetwear and one of the most rare and scarce pieces ever.
