Founded in 1984 by Shawn Stüssy the now world-famous streetwear brand originated out of the 1980’s surf wear wave. Selling Stüssy scrawled boards out of his car trunk, the iconic Stussy logo was born. Stüssy became official in 1984 with its apparel catering to the youth of skaters in New York. Shawn was close with James Jebbia – the founder of Supreme. Both brands can be regarded upon as the godfathers of modern day streetwear. Stüssy would expand quickly throughout the US and Europe and eventually turned into the global brand it is today. Their consistent effort in collaborating with Artists and other influential figures has left an impressive catalog of vintage sought after pieces.
