1998 Supreme Grey James Brown Tee

In 1998 Supreme - a small skating company only 4 years removed from its inception in April 1994 - released a small capsule of t-shirts for their new spring summer. One of the tees made in this year was this graphic tee in grey. The piece features a print of the iconic soul singer James Brown. Dubbed "The Hardest Working Man in Showbusiness" Brown played an integral part in the development of soul music and is regarded as one of the most influential and controversial figures of the 20th century. Over two decades later - this tee is a true rarity made in a time where Supreme was just a small counter culture skate brand in large contrast to the conglomerate it has grown into today.
