1997 Supreme Burberry Grey Box Logo Tee
1997 Supreme Burberry Grey Box Logo Tee
In 1997 Supreme released a series of box logo tees for their new collection. The design used the famous Burberry monogram. The British luxury brand is known worldwide for the yellow, red and black stripes. The question remains if this was a way of Supreme paying homage to Burberry or if this was some type of mockery towards the big fashion corporation. Supreme was known as a fresh new skate brand with a sense of rebellion in its core. 3 years later, Supreme used the LV monogram which they were sued for. In 2022, 25 years after mocking the brand - Supreme announced an official collaboration with Burberry. The collection instantly sold out and reached new peaks of same day aftermarket value.
