In the Fall Winter of 2021, Supreme released its newest collection with Junya Watanabe.
The Japanese fashion designer was born in 1961 in Fukushima, Japan. In 1984 he began a pattern making apprenticeship at Comme des Garçons. He designed for CDG before debuting his eponymous collection in 1992.
Watanabe is one of the most renowned fashion designers in modern day Japanese fashion. His most known work is the famous poem collection first released in collaboration with CDG in 2001.
Junya Watanabe often experiments with synthetic and industrial textiles. His Fall/Winter 2016 collections featured solar powered trench coats and intricately pleated geometric garments fashioned from polyurethane - bonded fabrics used in car interiors.
On November 4th 2021 The collection released and sold out instantly.
