2018 Louis Vuitton Virgil Abloh Cycling Jacket

In the summer of 2018 Virgil Abloh designed a special collection for Louis Vuitton. The late great Virgil who founded Off-White and became Creative Director of Louis Vuitton designed this piece for the SS18 LV collection. Drawing various inspirations of Cycling apparel, the design perfectly showcases Virgils ability to mix high fashion materials and put them in a streetwear context. A high quality - stretchy - soft material covers the base of the cycling jacket. Several patches both on the front and back reference quotes such as "No one knows whats going to happen next" “Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain" and "Follow the yellow brick road". These quotes are all references to "The Wizard of OZ". A book written by Frank Baum and a 1939 movie. The Wizard of Oz is one of the most prominent and well known movies in modern day American Culture. This piece retailed for over $1.800 and instantly sold out everywhere. It is one the most rare pieces released by Virgil and Louis Vuitton.
