Founded in the world capital of showbizz Gallery Dept presents a unique look merging streetwear and high fashion into one. Gallery Dept states : with each garment, we strive to re-purpose and re-imagine that which inspires us into something new.  our goal is to create compelling product without sacrificing quality or artistic integrity.  we believe in creating a unique experience and doing things a little differently.  our philosophy is simple: collaborate, create, and rebel. The brand has co-signs from numerous influential figures in fashion and hip hop culture such as Virgil Abloh and Drake. In 2021 the brand worked together with Migos for their "Culture 3" album release Merch. That same year Gallery Dept. workerd with French fashion house Lanvin. These two collaborations speak volumes to the wide variety in which the brand is present. The brand has popuralised several trends such as the flare jeans, paint splatter hoodies and use of reworked materials. In the fall of 2021 Josué Thomas announced the end of Gallery Dept despite the success of the brand. He stated "From the beginning Gallery Dept's focus has been making the best product, while easing the burden of resource consumption. Because each case is unique and deserves a unique solution, I am choosing to continue the practice of being an artist and withdraw myself from the fashion industry." Despite this message Gallery Dept has since then continued their collaborations and appears to still be in existence.
