Evisu is Japanese Brand founded by Hidehiko Yamane in Osaka, Japan in 1991.
The brand specializes in Denim wear through traditional, labor-intensive methods.
Evisu is derived from the Japanese folk god of money "Ebisu" who is usually portrayed with a fishing rod. The initial production line allowed about 14 pairs of jeans a day to be produced. The signature seagull hand painted by Yamane himself. Evisu has a strong tie with Hip Hop and fashion culture. The Evisu seagull and diacock have become iconic logos.
